HOPE HOUSE OF CENTRAL LOUISIANA NEWS RELEASE
October 2, 2012, Hope House of Central Louisiana purchased from the Central Louisiana Community Foundation 5115 South MacArthur Drive, Alexandria, Louisiana.
This purchase closes Hope House’s several year search for a facility to provide more space to serve more women and children. This property surpasses our expectations because it provides a larger and preferable space. Our present and future residents will cherish their time at their new home. Hope House outgrew its current location and over the past 23 years has served over 4,000 homeless women and children. Tragically, the waiting list continues to grow. However, the new location increases bed space, increases program capacity and provides additional privacy for residents as they strive to achieve independence. Homelessness is a growing issue in our region. Hope House is considered a leading agent in the community and works tirelessly in collaboration with many other agencies in addressing long term solutions in the fight to end homelessness.
